An abbreviated history…

It all started in 2012 when a girl (that would be me) was reading about the chemicals used by the skin care industry & the effect they had on health, fertility and aging. First, I set out to find products sold at local stores that were free of synthetic colors, fragrances and preservatives. That’s when I took notice that most products presenting themselves as natural were in fact not.

At the time my husband was often away with the military so I had plenty of free time and a new growing passion. I was in desperate need of a creative outlet… a hobby …but I wanted one with purpose. Something that would benefit my family and friend’s. So I started by teaching myself to make household cleaners & basic soap. I also started my first vegetable and herb garden but that is another story for a different time.

This perfect storm of passion and free time sparked a new interest in all the amazing affects plants and nature have on our bodies. I for one suffered from infertility, eczema and acne breakouts that I had struggled to get under control most of my life. I was excited about the possibilities my new passion unlocked. As I was formulating recipes and experimenting with ingredient combinations on myself while I was perfecting my products.

Soon friends took notice and started making requests for personalized products that fit their specific needs.

From this sprouted Au Natural Soaps & Skin Care. I create all of my products in small batches made to order (to ensure the quality and freshness).
